Hillmorton House
Shallow Geotechnical Investigations (Involving Hand Auger and Scala Penetrometer Testing) and Deep Geotechnical Investigations (involving Cone Penetrometer Testing) were undertaken in order to produce an interpretive report detailing the liquefaction susceptibility of the site, lateral spreading probability and the required foundations for a new single-storey house next to the Heathcote River in Christchurch.

NZGCL were able to undertake the testing within 5-working days of the signed agreement and complete the report within 10-working days of the site works, ensuring the project was completed within the turnaround time required by the client.
New Brighton Road
NZGCL undertook shallow Geotechnical Investigations (comprising Hand Auger and Scala Penetrometer Testing) for the proposed foundation upgrades of the existing fuel tank at the New Brighton Pump Station.

The detailed factual report outlined the on-site geotechnical hazards and the recommended foundation modifications to improve the overall resilience of the structure. NZGCL also went on to create a detailed geotechnical template report to assist with the geotechnical analysis of sites requiring the installation of Diesel Tanks in the future.
Earthquake and Slope Stability Assessment
NZGCL have worked on various hillside projects throughout New Zealand that require the design of retaining walls, slope stability assessments and liquefaction and lateral spreading assessments.

We pride ourselves on being able to provide our clients with quick turnaround times whilst maintaining a high standard of report writing which covers the geotechnical hazards on-site and the required foundation design options. We have also provided Safety in Design recommendations, Temporary Works Design recommendations and Detailed Inspection Schedules for use during the construction phase of the project.

NZGCL have been involved with multiple re-development projects throughout the country, ranging from Multi-Unit Buildings (MUB's) through to commercial developments.
